Most of you know Chris Niccolls from his incredible camera reviews with DPReview as well has his former work at The Camera Store. I've gotten to know Chris over the last few years, and I'm really excited to get him as a guest to collaborate with me. There's a whole other side to Chris that most people don't see. He and I share a passion for great photographers, film process and teaching. I think you will enjoy this. No gear to review today, but a great discussion about photography.

Lovely to see you both! Funny how all interview series start with Jordan, although I never got any further!

Chapeau to you both. I didn't learn much, but I had a wonderful time just listening in. Two thirds of my favourite photography content providers shooting the breeze. I want more. Well done Ted!

You and Chris are among the top 5 people in photography I try to follow on a regular basis. Conversations like this one are gold and quite enjoyable, and frankly I wouldn't be bored even if these videos lasted 2 hours. Take care and thank you both!

OK. It’s two years old and no-one will see this but it shows how the pandemic changed life in SO many ways and there is no other way we could could get to know Ted and Chris like this. Every video by either will be different from now on (then on?) and even more interesting and fun from this (that) point forward.

You could totally have stretched this to an hour! I didn't want the conversation to end. So far, these "sit downs" have been brilliant!

Teaching translates to video very easily. Prep, presentation, etc. The difference is the camera, mainly. Well done. Watch both of you regularly.

“If you’re still here...”. Thanks for this. I’m still here and grateful for the chance to get this personal, very human capture of you two, and your depth of involvement in your subject beyond what we normally get to see. Thanks for such good and positive work to you both.

A great vid, nice to watch two of my favourite vloggers. For newbies, the technical side of photography seems the most important and in many ways is the easier side of the hobby to master. Then we become truly experienced when we realize that the technology is only there to help us spin out our creative vision morphed into a presentable image. I understand and appreciate dpreviews technical emphasis but I wish they could thrush out more of the art side of imagining.

Delightful conversation. Keep'em coming. It is amazing that the stories of how people get into photography are similar through many generations. I grew up in the '50, s, worked at two camera stores while in high school, etc. At the time, Life and Look Magazines, Popular Photography and Modern Photography were the gateway drugs to photography. Also books by Andreas Feininger. And then there was Spiratone, a large mail order store, a precursor to B&H, which took large multipage ads in Popular Photography and Modern Photography. We ordered bulk film and paper and made our darkrooms in bathrooms or closets.
