It’s Known for Its Strength and Slim Profile, Making It Ideal for Casting Through Guides.

Here’s a Step-by-Step Guide To Help You Master This Knot :

Steps To Tie the FG Knot

*Prepare Your Lines* :
Take Your Braided Line and Leader Line. The Leader Should Be About 3–4 Feet Long for Easier Handling.

*Align the Lines* :
Lay the Leader Line Parallel to the Braided Line, Leaving a Few Inches of Overlap.

*Wrap the Leader* :
Start by Wrapping the Leader Around the Braid. Make 7–10 Wraps From the Bottom to the Top.
Ensure the Wraps Are Tight and Close Together.

*Create a Loop* :
After Wrapping, Create a Loop With the Leader Line by Bringing It Back Down Towards the Braid.

*Secure the Wraps* :
Now, Take the Tag End of the Leader and Pass It Through the Loop You Just Created.
This Will Help Secure the Wraps.

*Tighten the Knot* :
Hold the Braided Line and Pull on the Leader To Tighten the Wraps.
Make Sure the Knot Is Snug but Not Overly Tight at This Stage.

*Finish the Knot* :
To Finish, Take the Tag End of the Braid and Wrap It Around the Leader Line in the Opposite Direction (About 5–7 Times).
Then, Pass the Tag End Through the Loop Created at the End of the Wraps.

*Final Tightening* :
Pull on Both the Leader and the Braid To Tighten the Knot Completely.
