Recently bought some recommended stocks few months back and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

If companies are earning boatload of money, then how are they overvalued? Just look at how much money these companies are making.

Love this guy, the most realistic and honest opinion on the market.

buyback window opening back up in a week. FED is anxious to cut rates. NVDA earnings coming up (that kept market ripping higher for 3-4 weeks last quarter). and finally market seems to be sniffing a trump victory in November.

This is THE END of first time home ownership and the slow death of the middle class in a generation.

77 bids over 4 years for our first home as native Tennesseans ALL OUTBID by cash investors. Wonder why we Millenials & Gen Z are doom spending? Why we aren't having kids, getting married? We CAN'T afford a home, car, kids, retirement... Child care costs 1/3 of the average income PER CHILD. At 35 y/o kids and a first home passed us by. Don't be surprised that these younger generations want to see it all burn.

This economy isn't for us, it never has been. We've been checked out, not by choice

But, you know, I’ve not earned any stars for my past economic predictions. And the good thing about my economic predictions, even if I do make them, is that I pay no attention to them myself, so. (Laughter)
I really — and the way we pick our investments is we just don’t get into the macro factors. I can’t recall a time when Charlie and I have looked at a business, either buying it in its entirety or buying pieces of it through the stock market.
I just — macro conclusions are — just never enter into the discussion. I mean, I’ll pick up the phone. We’ve had these two in recent months. And I’ll tell Charlie about it. And, you know, we talk about a few things. But we don’t talk about anything remotely macro. And that’s really the way it’ll stay.

It really doesn’t make any difference. We don’t pay any attention about what people say about Coca Cola stock or Gillette stock or any of those things
On any given day 2 muillion shares of Coca Cola may trade that’s a lot of people selling a lot of people buying

If you talk to one person and Charlie talk to another person I mean You really should not make any decisions in securities based in what other people think, if you are doing that you should think about doing something else because a public opinion will not get you rich in Wall Street

So you really should stick with businesses that you feel you can somehow evaluate yourself. Charlie and I, we don’t read anything about what the economy is going to do, what the market is going to do

Any time I read an article that says something this analyst said about this is and that, it doesn’t mean anything to us

Value can they bring? lol. Alphabet having a 21 forward P/E and bringing in billions, YTube growing, the whole ecosystem, his old valuation methods simply aren't relevant. Nvidia being a provider of processing units with a software system that is the pinnacle, unmatched and desired by the worlds businesses. He does not understand these products, only numbers on a page.

The Professor is correct, at these ultra low prices, they are practically giving away Tesla Shares. Buy buy buy you fools 🎉

Anything higher than 10 bucks a share is over valued. Anything over 100 bucks a share is extrmely overvalued. None of these stocks are worth buying
