In the Pokemon games, you gotta catch them all, but two of the hardest ones to find are Mew and Mewtwo. The powerful psychic Pokemon are some of the best fighters in the game and have a long history together. While Mewtwo looks stronger and has better fighting attributes, Mew has several advantages in other categories. Before you find yourself stepping into Mewtwo’s corner, consider all of Mew’s great advantages.

Mew is one of the hardest Pokemon to capture in history. In one game, you can only get Mew by using a glitch or cheat code. It serves as the main boss in Pokemon Snap and becomes even harder to snatch up. Mewtwo was cloned and created in a lab. It has a lot of anger from this and is often times emotionally unstable. Mew on the other hand comes off as cool as a cucumber and is able to handle all types of problems without letting anger take over. One of Mew’s special talents is the creation of large pink bubbles. The bubbles actually have several uses and advantages. Mewtwo’s powers often exclude it from being allowed in any type of Pokemon fighting tournament while Mew has been allowed in specific tournament settings. Mewtwo will always be considered a clone and possibly a rip-off by some people. Mew will forever be known as the first Pokemon, a special title it could hold over all the other Pokemon out there. I always assumed that Mew has abilities that Mewtwo doesn’t because when the scientists created Mewtwo, they either had to sacrifice certain abilities in order to increase his power, or because he had human DNA mixed in with him (Blaine’s), so this reduced his Pokemon abilities a bit.

Mew can also transform into any pokemon in the world. This is proven correct since the first attempt to clone mew made ditto which only took one of mews abilities, the transforming.

Based on various Pokemon lore, Mewtwo is part human, which would explain it's emotional problems. In one story line it's Blaine's DNA that was used, and the mini movie "Origin of Mewtwo" hints indirectly that the DNA of Amber, the deceased daughter of the professor that cloned Mewtwo, was used
