My Husband is one of the front liners. He is a trucker and transporting goods between US and Canada. He never wear mask because its not available in stores within my area. I hope the government plans to send mask to truck stops also. There is no screening at the boarders. When can the govt think of truckers too not just a thank you.. By the way, big thanks for some Truck stops who gives free coffee for truck drivers, at least they know how to appreciate..

Had half my hours cut due to the mandated directive to only work in one healthcare facility. This means I earn approximately $1450/month now, too much to collect CERB, and only enough to pay rent, phone and internet...not food. Whoever thought this 'improved access' parameter was a good idea should give their heads a shake...there is, literally, no benefit for me to even go into work in this risky environment, I'd be better off contracting COVID so I could collect CERB and have money to eat. Thanks for increasing the stress!

Trudeau is such a hypocrite. "stay at home, don't go outside except for me and my family", do as I say and not as I do. Disgusting

What about restaurant workers ? I work 30 hours per week at $14 per hour. I only make 1400$ per month. People who have lots of money in their banks getting 2000$ and I am not eligible?? Not fair

they're just going to have to keep expanding cerb incremementally at this rate because the whole point of regulations is to leave people out. just make it universal, temporary, and get on with other important work justin

Someone close to us lost her father in a long-term care home to COVID-19. I don't know why all workers in these homes were not tested.

Even though CERB now covers more people. It is no long term solution to what people will face as the markets adjust.

Diets will have to change dramatically to domestic goods as a staple. Telecommunications companies may raise rates to accomodate larger volumes of at homr work. Delivery drivers will require higher hazard pay or at the least better PPE.

If anything the CERB is buying time until everyone gets tested and we can segregate those positive from those that are still negative.

The Government has left out essential workers who regularly work FT but have lost 20hrs per pay. He also left out the essential workers who are working from home and taking care of young children because there is no child care available. It would be much easier and fair to give a set amount to everyone / all families who work or did work and don’t receive social benefits then to put stipulations leaving many in difficult situations . Maybe then the rules wouldn’t need to be changed so often and there would be less to monitor

If Canada has been doing what China and other Asian countries has been doing with strict airport checking and screening and wearing MASK. I think Canada probably shouldn't be facing this much of a disaster and out of control right now. Well, again, this is not the time for blaming.

Going to welfare to my wife's disability as her spouse/caregiver I'm not classified as disabled etc, so I have to actively searching work. I've been lucky to get seasonal work landscaping @59...
Now nobody is hiring us to lay sod or design & plant their new shrubs & trees.
. Disability says I can earn 10k a year before our cheques are deducted.... usually I'm lucky to 9k over the summer with the avg being 8k because my boss only works during preschool hours while his wife works @ a hospital.... apply for this gag help would probably get both of us kicked off disability & homeless so we're losing out....

The whole CERB thing is a mess and it is screwing skeletal labor forces over. Imagine those who got laid off temporarily getting more weekly money compared to those who are working shortened 3 of 4 day shifts. The government SHOULD HAVE offered the CERB to EVERY labor force (laid off or not)
