Today, we're in Adobe Animate taking a look at rigging a basic character using the bone tool. We apply proportional speed to our character's limbs and limit or constrain their movement based on more realistic limits (like your elbow only bending one way!) Let's do it!

Man, thank you! You saved my homework and I'm grateful for that, I'll share your videos with my classmates. I love how you explain all the stuff that I'm like "wait but why doesn't it do this for me" and in the same second you say "maybe for you it might not work because you have to turn this on" and that's incredibly helpful. I also appreciate u kept the part where you are looking for the pin. Thank you!

Thanks so much, this is a great introduction to bone rigging. I like the way you leave in your mistakes and how to clean them up. That's got to be more helpful than just pretending it's perfect first time off.

Thank you. I'm glad you still have this older tutorial available. I am going to try your new one with the EDAPT plugin, but I really need this one right now.

I'm wondering if you can help me with a question. Once I'm done rigging, I want to move my character, but it pivots on the small white diamond at the base of his neck. There are no pins, but I can only move the character's limbs, I can't move the entire character around.. Can you help me understand why?

Hello there ! Great stuff =) My English is not perfect but I have a question :
I think one of the last update give the possibility to save movements of the rig (for example a walkcycle) and apply it automatically to a character when you need it. Do you know if it is possible to make a database of poses / cycles and reuse them for different characters (assuming that these characters have a roughly equivalent shape) ? Thanks a lot !
