The first girl was so confident in everything that she said and did while I was screaming inside, my god.

People have got to stop taking advice from people at Sally’s: they are not hair stylists or colorists & will give you the advice they overhear. (I actually asked the girls in the two Sally’s near our home and no one was a stylist or colorist - they’re simply working retail)

By the time you purchase all the items for 3 bleach baths, olaplex, toners, shampoo, you could have just gone to a stylist and had your hair bleached, cut and styled for a little more money. Plus, a stylist will definitely know what toners, foils and time to leave the bleach items in your hair. Of course, with Corona, we had to rely on doing most of this ourselves, which in that case, it makes sense.

Those people have so much motivation. I need WEEKS of motivation just to refresh my roots and colors.

I would be curious to see the cost difference of doing this yourself and having a professional do it, considering not only product cost but time spent in the 'chair' to get it done yourself

I have bleached my hair at home for years and it saved me so much money. I did all my research and the results were even. I did go to a hairdresser to get my hair dyed to my natural colour so i could grow it out. No regrets! I love being back to my natural 7/8 blond, and i love looking back on the years of being able to play with vivid colours and pastels.

The first woman could've just gone to the salon 🤦‍♀️. She bought the whole Sally Beauty.

Gotta give these girls credit for being so brave with their hair. I'm a guy and only go by professionals to do anything with my hair because I am big old coward when it comes to it.

Had so many hair catastrophes in the late 90’s in my early 20s. Wish we’d of had Brad back in the day for guidance, teen magazines and the back of the box is all we had. Grateful the urge to share to the world on social media wasn’t on the radar yet, though.

The first girl really saved her hair. I agree with you. I would have bleached her level 6 regrowth with 20 or 30 vol til light yellow *then* toned with the T11. There was so many unnecessary bleachings lol!

Just FYI, Wella T11 toner produces such a more beautiful blonde than the Wella T18 toner that everyone uses for DIY blonde toning. My daughter and I have been bleaching each other’s hair for about 5 yrs now and if you are okay with all over bleach, powder lightner (not quick blue), 20 volume delveloper, a tiny bit of Olaplex and some patience (leave the bleach on long enough) will give you a great result and for a fraction of what it would cost at a salon 😊.

I did a bleach bath when I went to Aveda cosmetology school and I had BRIGHT pink/magenta that faded to a pretty rose gold, but I wanted to go back to blonde. My bleach bath was done on wet hair in the bowl to remove the slight pink hue and it worked PERFECTLY!! That’s the only reason to ever do a bleach bath lol
OR to remove a too intense toner! I had to do that to a toner on my head in school too because it turned my hair purple 🙃

Brad, the hair gods knew I needed you to post this. I’m about to do a bleach bath on my hair to apply XMondo color and I have been stressed on what to do. Thanks for being such a ray of sunshine in such a hazy, dark world.

I just followed your instructions for a bleach bath to remove turquoise. It turned out great but I had to do it 3 TIMES to get it all out so I could go rose gold. Thank you for what you do for all of us who are too spontaneous to make hair appointments.

That's an amazing quote right there 🥰.

around 3:44 was a great explanation for something i was super confused in hair bleaching; which is why instead of leaving the root bare by like an inch or 2 unbleached, they bleach the whole head to only add shadow root later. which you answered as it can look choppy and you get a better out come when the demi-permeant shadow root color fades and the roots have a more natural fade. this explanation blew my mind, thank you Brad.

A little part of me dies every time a girl walks out of the drug store with $200 worth of items so she can do a garbage at-home job when doing the same job at a hairdresser would have been like $120.

Petition to get brads editor to please start equalizing the volume between these girls videos and Brad talking so we don’t have to constantly adjust the volume
I’m a small YouTuber and I learned very quickly how to do this and how important it is for those migraine sufferers out there, (since I am one prolly)
Cmon Brad I couldn’t watch this on my tv like at all lmao and now with headphones I’m like 💀

I feel like we all have the biggest friend crush on Brad….I would never just watch a hairdresser on something I don’t care/know about but I only stay for him

I'd love to know how many people end up going to the salon after these disasters and just don't film it to save face and play it off like some miracle happened. 😂
