360° Airline Pilot's View | Miami - Bahamas | American Eagle E-175

STUDENT PILOTS + FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS... This is your chance to experience the workflow that pilots face when running checklists, navigating through stormy weather, departing from busy airspace, and landing at a non-towered airport.

Flying into the North Eleuthera Island Airport (MYEH) in the Bahamas looks a lot different than pretty much every airport back in the USA. We operate fully VFR in/out of MYEH, since there's no air traffic control or radar coverage. Plus, its single runway is only 6,000 feet long with no visual approach guidance from a PAPI or VASI. It's the perfect spot to refine your visual and hand-flying skills. The terminal has just one room, an outdoor boarding lounge, and no jetbridges. Being one of the most stunning Caribbean Islands, North Eleuthera is also very busy. You have to pay close attention to the uncontrolled CTAF (airport traffic) frequency to keep tabs on the location of multiple general aviation, airline, and charter flights into the airport.

This flight was filmed under Part 91 with permission from Envoy Air, Inc. during a zero-passenger check flight to the North Eleuthera Airport.

I want you to experience first-hand what it's like to be a pilot. I've worked for years to get approval for 360-degree cockpit views, and I'm so proud that you finally have incredible behind-the-scenes access to the flight deck. What plane do you want to ride in the jumpseat on next?

As someone who is terrified of flying this definitely eases my fears a bit AND makes me appreciate pilots so much more! Thank you for sharing this!

This gotta be the most calmest chillest job ever. flying over the sky and seeing clouds like that without a sound.

as someone who is really into aviation now and switching majors to aerospace technology and starting pilot school in a few years, this really gave me an idea of what to expect when i get to where they are. by the way swayne you are my favorite pilot and i wish to fly with you someday. you helped influence my decision to become an airline pilot. ☺️

Working through anxiety while flying, this may come in handy for some VR exposure therapy.

It was so awesome that you got approval to do this 360 video. Thank you, Envoy, for allowing Swayne to do this great video for us that wish we were in those seats. Thank you, Capt Joe and FO Dean for allowing us into your awesome office. Great job Swayne I hope Envoy approvals more of these videos. This video pushes me to start my pilot training.

They should have something like this to give to new hires in training. To see all major phases of flight. Learn how the callouts will actually be. Prior to the sims. Boring for YouTube but going from dark and cold to flight would be great too.

Very impressive. The pilot’s tiny smirk at the great landing couldn’t be hidden. He deserves to smirk all he wants. 😏
P.S. I failed to mention: Don’t forget to swing the camera view around so you see the pilot’s face!

It didn't bore even for a second
Indeed the ocean and the islands' beauty kept our eyes peeled along with the pilots' continuous communication.

My man behind the camera got me wheezing! I turned the camera over to find him just chilling with a straight face lol

I was invited into the cockpit for a landing once . I was leaving Panamá city, Panama flying into Belize and I was crying because I was leaving my family for the first time, I was 18 years old, and this flight attendant came and said that the pilot would like to know if I’d like to watch the landing and I said yes, it was so cool and then the pilot asked me if I wanted to “ party” with them that night, I said no thanks I got people waiting for me, thanks for everything ✌🏽😄
