I agree with you. You want the engine room to be clean as a patient surgical procedure room.
When I was growing up there was a neighbor who worked on cars on the side who always told me cleanliness is important.

You couldn’t have given a better explanation of the cost involved in a machine shop .

My favorite machine to watch is the head and block mill. Watching the head or block cut level is very satisfying.

That cranck shaft grinding machine is a pretty important item, I agree you should start learning pretty soon . Keep on smiling.

Keep in mind that detergents are all caustic to some extent as it creates an environment which gets maximum performance out of the surfactants. The more severe cleaning the product is intended to do, the more caustic is the formulation. Auto dishwash detergent is much more caustic than laundry detergent, and scrub cleansers such as Comet are more caustic yet.

Can you make a video about customers abandoning projects // leaving the stuff with you and ghosting.

Maybe your dad has some gold stories from over the decades?

For the smaller shops, it's real easy to finance yourself out of business . A paid for, slightly slower machine can make you a lot of money instead of making payments

Shop tours can be highly informative, and this video is excellent. You maintained a nice pace while explaining the function and history of each machine. Good luck with the new hone!

Could you do a more detailed video on the burn off oven? Is it vented? How do you stop it catching fire to the grease? Over in the UK pyrolysis is almost never used amd it would be interesting to see the process and equipment in detail!
