That was a close win - not really sure if the Archeologist had an extra item that he could have used against the Creature from the Black Lagoon's attack since you did forget its attack at 37:30.

Very stressful win - almost as stressful as Forbidden Island.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you still have to roll the attack dice even if there are no villagers or Heroes around because the Monster's power could still be activated, which is on the Monster's mat.


*Edit: reread the rules you don't have to roll if you are not in a space as another villager but it makes it harder if you do roll to activate the monster's power! Lol

just read through the entire instruction manual, set up the board to face dracula and the creature; beginner game.. and have no idea how to start so i watched this video!

At 37.24 you said that the creature wasn’t going to activate, but his symbol is on the card.

Would it work to increase difficulty by adding monsters after X turns? Maybe start with one or two, and after 5 full rounds add another monster. If you can stay ahead of the curve the difficulty stays the same, but at least there will be pressure that can spiral out of control if you aren't fighting the monsters fast enough.
