We all want to add a little bit extra to our content but what is the best way. Do we really need to replace the xisting joomla's article manager when, we can simply extend it.

I agree I would have put Flexicontent in rather than ContentBuilder. 
I do like FieldsAttach though. I have used it and been talking to him since Joomla 3 Beta. we used it on discoveradventure.com for the extra fields for trips. Then call in the fields in the override. 
Only issue I have for this over Flexicontent that I have moved to for some new sites is. You have to choose the category before the fields tab shows on the article. So this confuses the editors. They must make an article and click save for the extra tab to show. Vrs in CCK like flexicontent where you choose the type before you edit the article.

Bryan asked in the video about search, and I have used the advanced search add on to work with the joomla advanced search. I left it at free text though no filtering options. 

One ad on he has for this which I would really love in a stand alone joomla module to be able to pick other articles to link to one by one for related pages. As this most of my clients ask for and they want to hand pick the relationships.

I agree with you on the FIELDS ATTACH approach. I am following this project for quite some time now... and I must say, it is the way a custom-field solution should be  integrated into Joomla core. It simply feels "right" to me.
(I have to admit, I can not really judge the quality of coding. Somehow the field's options and config felt a bit strange and clumsy in J25. Not sure if it makes use of all J! core fields... Hopefully the fields and UX will improve in J3++)

If Joomla would just give us easier control over the admin side, senseless and redundant extensions like this would not be needed (that of course is defending it has a place at all anyway) and we could solve the confusion simply by moving or creating a new menu item that resides in the article manager (or where we need it) for the REAL CCK's to become living breathing parts of the core. This is not a CCK at all in any way shape or form, it simple adds complexity where it is not needed.

Give us more freedom to design and layout the admin so we can call Joomla the first true CMS! Like all others before it Joomla is only half of a CMS and why redundant crap like this exists to convoluted Joomla and give evangelists like Brian a job!
