For the USB-C mod, you should put a 5.1k resistor between CC1 and GND and another 5.1k resistor between CC2 and GND, that way it will work with all USB-PD chargers

I personally just use a cable that has a Nintendo plug and a USB-A plug to charge.

If I was going to do a USB-C mod, I’d do one that replaces the old port, rather than cutting the case up.

I got a 3DS Capture Card mod which also doubles as a USB C charging mod. It's amazing and if you can afford it, I'd recommend it. Both for the charging, and for the capture.

Mini files are your friend when adding any new ports to your case. Cut the hole smaller than needed and use files to finish it off. 🤘🤘

It is more than likely possible to put the QI Charging FULLY inside the case (As long as you mount the actual Charging Unit itself to the outer casing on the inner side) the difference between having it in and out are going to be very minimal and in terms of Looks, it will certainly look better.

One major 3DS mod I'd love to see is getting a bluetooth audio transmitter to work with it. Especially one with low latency AptX!

The numb change is easily my favorite mod for the New 3DS. Make playing with the C-stick way better!
Watch out for getting second hand shell replacements. The 2 i got from Amazon had their Hinge housing snapped after a month.

Now just need a circle magnet for the wireless charging and Bluetooth Audio. TBH USB-C for data would be amazing on a hacked 3ds.

Buy a MagSafe pop socket and rob the magnets and make it mag safe!
