Really appreciate this video. Although I have some notes. I have a 2004 330i ZHP 4 door and there were some differences. I didn’t encounter any left hand threaded screws. But the biggest thing is that I did not have to remove my window at all. There was more than enough room with the window rolled up to get in there and replace. I was expecting this job to take half the day. Fortunately it was done in less than an hour. I’ve been putting it off for ages and wish I had fixed it sooner! Anyway this video was a great guide. Thank you.

Mine snapped at the same position, but instead of spending 80 euros on a whole new BMW carrier unit, I bought a bicycle brake cable with the same knob and connected that to the old cable with a wire clamp. 5 bucks and 2 hours work. Also definitely no need to remove the window. If you roll the window fully up, you can access everything if your arms are not too big.

Fantastic video man. The best I have seen. My drivers side door failed on the outside last week and have been getting into the car by rolling the windows down with the key! What broke on mine was the alluminium hook where the cable hooks onto so I just bought the whole unit directly from BMW here in Ireland. Hopefully I will have it fixed by the end if the week.

I have the opposite problem lol. randomly my doors wont open from inside, or from key fob, or from the central locking button.

Let me apologize in advance so everyone understands i see assholes talking shit all day about people who do good things and get no respect for taking time..sometimes money..etc to help us learn skills we lack and stuff they should go to heaven for. I dont know why this time i have to be one of these assholes...to put it so its taken to point out...not abuse a minor flaw that FOR THIS TIME I STILL DONT KNOW WHY...idrove me insane to hear BASICALLY 750 times. Im no language proffesor and it shouldnt count enough to even mention...but it did. This doesn't help people that can't get inside their My passenger side door is electronic... And it's my driver door handle that won't open.... My car unlocks and locks but I can't open the door because the handle broke, my keyfob battery is dead so I can't simply unlock my passenger door and get it that way and no key for that door as well only the driver door has a key.... this socks
