I bolted a flat safe under the back seat of my crewcab truck. I love it so much. If I'm in a situation where I need to leave the weapon in the truck, it's an added peace of mind that not only is it locked in the vehicle, it's go additional protection in the safe. Not to mention it's also great for GPS, phones, wallet, etc. when needed to be secured.

In Florida the gun needs to be under a latched door or box with a latched door or in a back pack or a holster with a strap or holster with a slide release or concealed ON YOU ...
Cannot have it on a seat or on the floor with a hat or shirt or towel over it. Or in the back seat.
Can be loose in the trunk only

Being a left handed shooter and living in TX I have found something that works great for me. I took an old adjustable OWB holster with snaps and firmly affixed it to the inside of the pocket in my driver's door. Then to conceal it, I tuck a microfiber rag used for cleaning your car over it. The rag does not look out of place and does not print the weapon. Took a long time to figure out how to properly position the holster and rag so that I could easily access the weapon but it's a non-issue now.

I know this is an old video, but my comment still stands to this day. The best carry method while driving or any other seated position is just keep it in your appendix holster.

MrColionNoir, I've got a friend who's conceal carried his glock 19 using mic holsters. He has since moved away from it because they eventually just wore out and broke after a few months. He even replaced his original unit with another and the same thing happened. Your rig should be fine but I just figured I'd let you know to look out for any cracks on the plastic. Thanks for the great videos.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the holster retaining your pistol in the event of an accident. Watch high speed footage of a crash test and you will often see side view mirrors(that are bolted to the car) fly loose long before the door receives any damage. Inertia at 30mph+ is a hell of a force. Your system is certainly better than just jamming it between the seats, for sure, but you might consider a full holster bolted to the console.

I love the versatility of the MIC holster. It's not my first choice under most circumstances but I'm always finding new situation where it fits my need when I can't have the bulk of a full sized holster. I'll give this a try and see how I like it.
My current method is to loosen my belt one notch and slide my OWB holster as far forward as it'll go. It's also the type with the forward leaning FBI canter. I get in, sit down, put my seat belt on, then position my side arm outside of and above the shoulder strap at the snap-buckle. I have practiced my draw technique from this position many, many times and I rarely, if ever, have any noticeable hiccups.

Right handed roto paddle holster clipped over the lap portion of your seat belt. It sets up a great cross draw so you're already pointing at the threat, in most cases, when your weapon clears the holster.

I use a mailing envelope the kind with bubble lining. An old one is less noticeable. I glue a scrap of suede on the half that touches the seat to add a measure of adhesion to prevent sliding around. I place my gun inside if I need it I can easily and quickly reach inside with one hand. To everyone else it looks like you are heading you are going to the post office or coming from I even have mine addressed.

update bro, in texas now that we have open carry you can open carry in your vehicle as long as it's in a holster and within arms reach. if you don't have a LTC then you can still carry in your vehicle, it still has to be in a holster but must be conceal.

I have a similar rig. I got it from the NRA website because I couldn't find one like it anywhere else. It straps around the bar that keeps seat and backrest together, and after a month or so of use, it wore in and is a breeze to holster. Plus, it's right there where I need it. I also use a hat; Florida has the same law.

Love the videos man, keep um up.

I do the same thing without the holster. just cram between seat and console and roll. Fits tight. Happy 4th of July and thanks for all your hard work. Your message reached the smallest county in the country. Ohio County Indiana. Rising Sun home of the Shriners

Nice to see that someone else uses the mic holster for their car. I just love the mic holster for that purpose. I also use one for my G21 on the night stand. It doesn't interfere with the tac light.

I use a gun magnet attached to the underside of the dash. The grip is normally visible but I have a microfiber cloth that fits in a little sunglass recess that hangs out and hides it. About twelve years ago I was forced off the road by a passing oil field truck into a deep ditch. Lots of front end damage to my pick up but gun never moved from the magnet.

Shoot Smart Indoor Range & Training Center (located on I35, 2 miles south of Cabelas) allows you to take photos or videos while you shoot. Not sure what you have in mind but as long as you're safe you should be ok to take pics.

Good video. I have 2 high power magnets the issue with the magnet idea is the trigger guard isn't covered and protected. I like this idea much more and will be changing the truck set up hopefully this weekend.

I am in VA, I use a Remora holster on the console When I get out of the car, I slip it in my waistband. Works fine and has for years.
