Best Minimal Holster

I hate holsters. I can barely stand to have my phone in my pocket much less a gun literally inside my pants, so when it comes to a holster that adds even more bulk to the tactical party already going on in my pants, I'm even more annoyed. As a result, I'm always looking for the most minimal style holster I can find.

I know there are things like the clip draw which are exceedingly minimal, but it doesn’t cover the trigger guard, and I'm not trying to Plaxico my Burris if you know what I mean?

All that being said, my holster for people who hate holsters is the Vanguard 2 from raven concealment.

I've literally been researching holsters for the last 5 hours. This looks pretty interesting honestly. Now they need to make it for more models.

When I swapped to a department that required Glocks for duty use, I swapped my off-duty carry to glocks as well to maintain uniformity. Needed holsters ASAP and the raven vanguards were the lowest profile IWB option that I could get with fast shipping. I’ve carried a G19 In a vanguard for just over 2 years (winter) and a G43 in a vanguard2 for about a year (summer). Absolutely love these holsters, especially the older “softloop” attachment that was available with the original vanguard. Would only use a different holster for CCW if it was thick jacket weather and I swapped to a regular OWB holster, no other IWB is more comfortable to me. You loose the ability to reholster easily but you have to do the math on that to weigh out pros and cons. If my gun comes out off-duty, it’s more than likely staying out until the situation is diffused to where I can reholster or tuck in a pocket if need be. Definitely loctite the screws though because they will come loose very quickly if you don’t. They also make a vanguard 3 that indexes off either a stream light TLR-1 or surefire weapon light and will work with any gun with the respective light on. I plan to try one of those eventually since my duty G-17 and G-19 always have TLR-1HL’s on them but just haven’t gotten around to it.

I've tried probably 20 different holsters, priced all over the map. I'll say that the Vanguard 2 is the first option that I can carry comfortably and concealed. If you haven't tried it, try it.

I just carry a little 9 round 380!! Fits nicely into my front pocket or a coat pocket!! And yes I have a carry and conceal permit!!

When I was 21, I had a good quality holster for my pistol
Now, I'm 41, and I have a variety holsters for different scenarios and weather conditions. Compact pistols get highly concealed IWB for indoors, and for outside, belt and paddle for full size pistols, and shoulder rigs are the most comfortable for full size guns while driving or when you won't remove your jacket

Don't limit yourself to just one carry rig or setup. You can buy more that just one

Best holster I've ever used and is now my primary one. I have a small frame so this adding no bulk is amazing. Most worry about not being able to reholster the gun but well this isn't meant for range days where you draw your gun over and over. Draw when you need to rid of a threat then when safe take the time to put it back on the gun and back on your waist.
For the screws coming loose once a while, I just use some light loctite. Use it on all my holsters screws.
I tried the Q-Series but I disliked the clip on that one and it was WAY too tight on the trigger guard to draw.
