Yep, divorce was devastating for me and I lost everything. So the first 3 or 4 years, things weren't great. It was the fifth year when the spousal support stopped that things first stated looking better and then the seventh year when I no longer had to pay child support and my youngest was on his own. For the first time in 30 years, I only had to take care of myself. I was still making six figures. Then when my ex started asking to come back and I got to tell her sorry, I don't date fat chicks. Because she really had become very fat. That was awesome. Oddly enough, I have rebuilt and have more than I ever lost in just a few years. The best was two years ago when my son told me that my ex was homeless. Tom seemed very content with just her for a long time. Now He took his time to dust himself off and he's going to have no problem finding what he wants. There are a lot of young women who will be happy to be Giselles replacement, a lot of men aren't going to have the well rounded package that Tom had.
