Comedy, tragedy, this show was a sneaker. One week it's Klinger shenanigans, next week it's some gut punch of heavy subjects. Pretty darn good show.

I'd like some MASH geek to publish how many times the word 'meatball surgery' was said on this show.

So many of the entertainers who brought these characters to life for us are gone.... just incredible to me.

That’s not Trapper John (Wayne Rogers), strolling up to the conversation like a pimp…😂

I watched this as a kid and thought it was funny. Re-Watched it as an adult who took Korean lessons, it became ten times funnier.

It's interesting that in the period when Hot Lips and Frank were trying to keep their relationship a secret, Loretta Swit leans in so obviously to Larry Linville at the end of this scene.

I can oly say in fifficult times its good to revisit an old friend that made me laugh again and again, think about compassion satire and not self pity so much. Thanks tonall the fallen that sacrificed so much and those that made me csre aboutvsctragic war before my time miss you all espescilly Loretta.

We didn't have to put up with the canned laughter track in the UK...

Larry Linville and Alan Alda were actually good friends in real life. I read that when the time grew near, Linville talked Alda into saying "Now the worms are eating Frank Burns" at Linville's eulogy.

When this was shown around the world, they cut out the canned laughter, that's when we realised it was actually funny
I feel for you yanks and your "freedom"

If I had a dollar fir every time they repeated the phrase meatball surgery in this series I'd be pretty happy.

I would have liked to see Larry Linville have the chance to make Frank Burns a bit less one-dimensional, much as Loretta Swit got to do with Major Houlihan.

In the real military he would be court martial big time..

They should have made Major Burns more complex instead of just one dimensional.

Alan Alda’s character was a bully. And he is an idiot in real life.

This show was the WORST. Frank knew he wasn't the best surgeon, he knew he was not a great leader, he struggled to cope with fear on the midst of war. But the insubordination of fellow officers who were below him in rank ate away at his sanity. Their bullying was ignored by the Colonel. Pierce was a truly garbage human

This is so horrible and woke at the same time. Maybe it's just me😅
