This movie was released a few days before my 14th birthday and by that time all I've ever seen from Superman came from Justice League cartoons. It was awesome, but it didn't showed what Superman really was since he wasn't the main character. But when I went to the teather to watch it and I saw this scene, his first flight, it was... Something. It was meaningful. Even though the movie has received a lot of hate because of decisions from Snyder, I do believe that it helped to open the scene for other superhero movies that came after it... It wasn't the first one, because Iron Man was there before, but man... It's Superman. You can't overcome him.
