I think rather than "Don't talk to strangers", the lesson from story 2 should be "Trust your instinct". Strangers (the older couple) are also who helped get them out of that situation.

I heard my husband get ready for work one Saturday morning & heard him leave the house - yet - when l got out of bed - the chain lock was on - u can "ONLY" use the chain lock "Inside" of the house - l moved out not too long afterwards

First story isn't really "horror". Medical emergencies happen all the time but it's a different sub-genre. It was an unfortunate incident but not truly scary because she had friends and a lot of support compared to being standard alone.
