Good for you, Steve. It is your house and your child. The decisions you make as a parent are not open to public debate. Most of the people that tell you that you are making bad parenting decisions either have no kids or no idea how out of control theirs are. People need to focus on raising their own kids and stop judging others.

I’ve had locs for 23 years and I totally agree with him. I was 20 years old when my loc’d my hair. I was an extremely hard decision for me to make. I also climbed the corporate ladder successfully with locs and tattoos…. Parents are suppose to be extra cautious for their children. However, it doesn’t mean that the parents are correct!

My mother had 3 rules in the house when I was a kid.

1. No tattoos while living under her roof.

2. No no piercings. while living under her roof.

3. No long hair while living under her roof.

She would tell us this and and it with “Not while I’m alive”!! She struck fear into our minds and hearts.

My mother past away in 2014, I’m 40 years old and I still respect her rules today, and those are the rules in my house.. I will always respect my mothers rules. You can do what ever the hell you want, just not while I’m alive and your living under my roof.😊
