The retaining clip! That's where I went wrong. I couldn't for the LIFE of me figure out why the battery wouldn't come out. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. The only issue I had was removing the retaining clip bolt. I have a 2011 sonata, so the air intake is in front of the battery making it hard to access. I’ll have to use a socket with an extension to get to it. But the video was easy to follow, thanks again & keep up the good work.

Thank you for this video! I changed out my battery myself in like five minutes. I did lose one of the bolts for some sort of air thing, but I’ll go buy a new one.

One tip. Take any rings or watches off. You could hit the terminal and cause a spark.

Awesome video. I could not figure out what to do to get my battery out after I removed the two battery cables. I didn't see the retaining clip. I also have an air scoop in the way that comes on the 2014 GLS model that I was able to remove once I removed two bolts. Then I was able to see the retaining clip and removed the battery by tilting it. That was the key! It will not pull straight up because the positive battery cable is in the way!

Regarding your battery in this video, I notice you have a size 124R. This is listed as a suitable replacement, but the original factory battery in my car is an AGM model, and closely resembles size 48/H6. The OEM battery has cutout corners for the terminals, and yours has the terminals on top. Was this car originally fitted with the 124R, or did you substitute in a different size after the factory one died?

Asking because the cables are exactly long enough to reach the original battery, but too short to go over the top of the new battery. I was able to get it in, but had to carefully tilt and angle it on the (+) terminal. It almost couldn't be done. Did some years or models come standard with the 124R?

Thank you, very helpful. But maybe not the best idea to do that with a nice CLEAN pink long sleeve
