My 5.5 month old starts solids. Week 1- carrots. I will be doing a combination of baby led weaning and purées because I really enjoy making baby food/ spoon feeding Adam😊 Should I make this a series?🧐

This is so wonderful to see. Didn’t even realize you could do this, but it’s so much better for your kids honestly. I love seeing good parents do what’s best for their kids. Hope you’re well!

It kills me every time she says "safety".... Bro you know she threw punches with her siblings as a kid 😂😂😂

I make my daughter’s food, freeze it in ice cube trays, and pop one out when we are ready to use! Making food doesn’t always have to use expensive equipment, but it sure looks nice to use!

THIS is one of many reasons why I would feel privileged and blessed to be a stay at home mother. I know exactly what my baby is eating, I get to spend time with the little one, I'm in the comfort of my own home, and I'm confident that I have direct control over the nutrients and freshness for my child. Love this!!!

Edit: Some people out here love adding things to the mix of what I said. I literally never said anything about not having time, not wanting to do things in my career, or not being organized. I cited being comfort of my own home; spending time with the baby, and knowing what's in the food as some of MY reasons. People out here are just ridiculous 😂

My mother did the same with us three, I did the same with my daughter, and 33 years later, my daughter is doing the same with my granddaughter.... You can also do it with fruits as well as veggies... Love ya, smooches.💋he he he🤓

I did this 36 years ago with a blender and glass jars. Can confirm, happy, healthy baby had a great start.

My mom just used a $20-30 food processor. I’m 30 and she used the same machine for making baby food for my nieces and nephew when they were over and that was 11 years ago, 7 years ago and 2 years ago. I mean - she even blended up homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes, carrots, all separately for them in that thing so whatever we ate, they ate. She’d throw watermelon in there, strain out the seeds and freeze it in cubes for teething, etc.
I love this easy prep idea to have things ready to defrost and eat for the kid- simple and easy to store as well and you can make multiple servings with a small batch and reduce food waste all in the same mission. Don’t feel bad if you can’t afford the $230 purée machine - get a $8 steamer basket at Walmart for steaming and a $30 small food processor as well and you’re ready to go. Add it to your baby registry works good too.

Man, I made my daughter's baby food 16 years ago and I would've loved a cool gadget like this. It was a pain but worth it. Heated it up and cooled and thinned it out with some breastmilk. Worked great.

Those machines are so fancy😄. I used a blender and a steamer pot. I made both my kids baby food. I'm glad you're making baby food for yours is such a blessing.

I love watching how other parents take care of their kids. We did baby led weaning, so we basically just gave our kids normal food, but with less salt.

I boiled my son's fruits and veggies in a saucepan, then pureed with a hand blender. No plastic use and much easier.

I did this 35 years ago for my baby boy...I didn't have or need the fancy equipment, and I used Gerber's glass baby food jars to store the food in the refrigerator...never had to buy baby food for my baby, I bought the jars, threw out the food, and made my own...healthy baby and healthy man today!!!❤

Just here to say that you can still be a fantastic mom with store bought food! This is really cool that you're able to do this though.

Love this! Even if you don’t have a budget for the pouches or the machine that fills them, or even a blender it’s very easy to roast a pumpkin then peel it, mash it and freeze into ice cube trays. It’s messy! But gets results.

I didn’t even think about the fact you could put breast milk in, that’s so smart
