Tip : add some biodegradable dish soap to the rain water. Will break the surface tension on the water. And the char will absorb the water faster.

I'm wondering, since the chickens have already urinated and defecated on the soil, couldn't you bury/partially bury the charcoal in the pen then use the resulting mix after a few weeks directly in the compost? Wouldn't it inoculate faster?

How do you deal with the first inoculation after you’ve let it sit for a week or so? Can it be added as a top dressing right away? Do you dig it in? I’m using 15 gallon bags. What % of biochar would I use in my bags? Thinking 1 to 10.

I had to rewind and play five times to figure out what you were talking about. .. "Liquid C* . . . Finally took a Screenshot of the bottle and saw SEAWEED! LOL. So I wonder if I could just go to the Gulf, grab a bucket of seaweed, process it in my food processor and mix it in with the batch?? 😄

I would crush the char into finer particles. 

One person on YouTube claimed his chickens eat a little char and it enhancs their digestion resulting in double egg production.

Can any char be used? Why should I buy char designated as "bio" when I can get charcoal much cheaper?
