Nodal Analysis for Circuits Explained

Показать описание
This tutorial just introduces Nodal Analysis, which is a method of circuit analysis where we basically just apply Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL) at each node with an unknown voltage. You can choose to ground any of the nodes, but generally, grounding one with the most branches (especially if they are voltage sources) will make the problem easier. We will end up with one equation per unknown node voltage, and can just solve the system of linear equations to find the branch currents.

This video is part of a full free course on electric circuits. The course covers DC circuits, circuit laws, current & voltage sources, series & parallel resistors, nodal analysis, mesh analysis, and AC circuits.

Thank you! Im reading through a circuit analysis book and its difficult to stay focused, not the most exciting read but its fundamental stuff to be able to learn more interesting topics. I am glad videos like this exist it saves a bunch of reading!

You were in the Netherlands while making this video right? I could hear it by the ambulance siren in the background noise at 3:56

What if the polarity of the 2V source was switched? Like the negative sign at the top and the postive sign at the bottom.

very clear I like this and this is the video where I finally understand how to set resistor polarity lol

it is possible to do nodal analysis for a voltage and resistor only? (one loop only)

Question if there were parallel branches from Va to the 3 volt source with resistors would i just take Req or make more currents for the nodal equation ?

Your videos are keeping me sane, but I also wish you did explain how to get Va, Vb, and Vc.
