NASA successfully launches weather satellite into space

NASA has successfully launched the Joint Polar Satellite System-2 (JPSS-2) into space to help monitor global meteorology.

The satellite will be used to collect weather data to improve forecast and severe weather predictions, as well as monitor sea ice, wildfires and global temperatures.
