NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) launched the Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, United States on Thursday (November 10).

Footage from NASA showed the rocket lifting off from the space centre base in California.

The launch is part of a joint satellite mission to monitor extreme weather conditions and climate change.

The mission was originally scheduled for November 1 but was reportedly delayed due to a mechanical error on the day of lift-off.
