A developer named Scott Gillen is in the process of building what is on track to be the most expensive neighborhoods in the world, and he is already in the final stages of construction. Called "The Case" this exclusive 5 home community in Malibu will feature brand new ~11,000 foot mid century modern inspired mansions that are decked out with the nicest finished imaginable. In today's episode we take a look at this luxury real estate development together, we review the renderings, and we look at another $35 million listing that Scott Gillen built that is also on the market.

What’s most amazing about all of this isn’t the scale of the houses, or the views, or how much the developer spent or how much the houses cost. The most impressive thing is that he got Costal Commission approval to build this … and also that he got it as quickly as he did. Back in the day I remember people who applied to build and it would take more years than you could count and some never got approval at all. Securing approval for all of that, well, it’s pretty incredible. Dude must have some serious influence.

I live in Tiburon/belvedere ca. Been to Malibu, Newport Beach. I got to say. I fell in love with Cabo after my visit. Warmer water, custom homes. More constant warm weather. They have quite a few gated communities with their own restaurants, gyms, bars, golf courses within the community. Like Eldorado, four seasons, St. Regis. Diamante, etc. Safe and quiet. 2.5-3 hours from San Francisco.

Thought they've been trying to sell these for years? Seen them on a couple real estate shows a while ago from what I remember. Seems like the pricing is extremely "ambitious" and they've cycled through agents.

I think Scott loves architecture because he created a website for The Case Mansions The Case Mansions are beautiful and modern, I wish they were two floors like Scott New Castle Mansion. Scott is a good businessman instead of creating one $500 million dollar mansion like Nile Naomi The One in 5 Acres, Scott created 5 mansions for $500 million on 20 acres.

I have seen of Scott Gillen's tours online in the past his prices are usually high, and his finishes and staging sometimes look cheap. These look nicer than usual. He needed to break up the brown tones a little, though. I also would like to see a few different textures. To be clear I'd take any of them LOL but I am considering the price and what I've seen for the price.
