UK to send depleted uranium shells to Ukraine despite health concerns

In recent years hundreds of Italian military personnel have died while thousands more have taken sick from conditions potentially linked to depleted uranium. Some MEPs are now calling for a full ban.

Russia does not currently use depleted uranium (DU) in its shells in Ukraine, but it will - on ballistic missiles and shells, once Ukraine starts using them. That Ukraine's leadership would permit introducing the use of DU shells on its own soil displays a pernicious disregard for the welfare of its citizenry, civilian, and soldiers.
