Wow. Even the notorious evil assholes have a deep, shockingly believable story that drives them. This is what makes Elder Scrolls great.

I think it’s funny how humans can kill elves in combat. 500 years of combat training, and you lose to a guy who hasn’t even been alive 30 years.

There should have been a quest for people who wanted to side with the Thalmor maybe after joining the Empire the High Elves would approach you offering a position as a spy. Not that I would have joined them but it would still be a cool option.

That's why I like the Elder Scrolls Lore, The history is very nuanced. There are some Nords that are racist but they have a bad history with elves, like the massacre at Saarthal. Argonians and Khajiit are seen as drug thieves which in some cases are true and it doesn't help I am a cutthroat Khajiit in my playthroughs. The Dark elves may get shit in Windhelm for the wrong reasons but in Morrowwind they are enslaving Argonians.
Every race has some baggage on their head and I appreciate the lore team isn't making one out to be better than the others.
