2019 Volvo XC40 R-Design AWD Test Drive Video Review

We live in the era of the crossover so we might as well embrace the trend. Thankfully there are automakers like Volvo making some solid choices. The 2019 Volvo XV40 is a brand new offering from the Swedish auto maker. Volvo’s current design language is tough to beat; the vehicles have similar styling elements yet each one is unique.

Prices on the 2019 Volvo XC40 range from $33,200 for the Momentum FWD trim up to $39,750 for the Inscription AWD model. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for the AWD model checks in at 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

The XC40 is a good subcompact luxury SUV it has the corporate Volvo style that originated from the XC90 it’s practical, it drives good, the infotainment has Apple Car Play and Android Auto, it’s a very accessible SUV

Doesn't know it's a removable trash bin & is unable to pronounce the wireless charging standard but Jeff has a solid LOCK on the well hated and laggy Sensus Connect.

A 2019 Subaru Forester that gets better than 33 MPG on the highway would be a smart choice, not 40 grand for a little Volvo that gets lousy gas mileage. If you have money to burn, then the Volvo is OK.
