Great video! I would add to the list the japanese animated tv show Ping Pong The Animation directed by Masaaki Yuasa. He takes a lot from the original source, the comic series by Taiyo Matsumoto, but the way he elaborates and utilises split screen is very original.

Great video, but I'm surprised that you didn't include any of Robert Aldrich's split screen work. He used it pretty effectively in _The Longest Yard_ and _Twilight's Last Gleaming_, and at the time, he and DePalma were the only ones really using it.

You may already know this, but the split screen shot in Kill Bill Pt 1 was a direct homage to the trailer of 1977s Black Sunday. The actual film Black Sunday didn't use any split screens (I don't think), but the trailer was full of it. Thanks for the great essay!
