France has now taken the role of EU spokesperson and Germany casually adds 100 000 000 000€ to their defence Budget...

Hi, it's interresting to see an outsider point of view on Europe. Compared to USA, EU is "a mess". But EU is not intended to be like the USA, so the comparison seems invalid to me. EU also has no united army. It's kind of taboo to speak of sending Germany's troop abroad... For reference, I lived in France, Germany and England for years.

I think it shows that this is a pretty old video on this channel. The beginning opinion piece on the EU being a clumsy mess without actually giving any sort of argument for it was pretty weird.

The EU is centralizing more and more, but it's an incredibly slow process because unlike the US, Europe wasn't wrangled together over a couple hundred years from rebelling colonies. Instead, it is a sprawling mess of countries with histories and often mutual vendettas older than the entire history of the US. "European" is often disputed as even being an identity at all, with most Europeans identifying with their country or even their region above all. Getting these nations to agree on anything at all is frankly a small miracle.

The best think the UK did was leave. The EU has punished Britain badly as an example to the other EU nations and don't leave. As a trading partnership, it was a great idea if not a little confined. As a complete dictatorship been British we defend sovereignty
