I have slept on a hardwood floor multiple times and slept perfectly fine, i have also cowboy camped in the back country many times (which means no tent and no sleeping pad so just sleeping on dirt and rocks) and slept perfectly fine and woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. I don’t know why they are complaining, those beds honestly look pretty comfortable.

Who made that decision? Clearly NOT someone whose making decisions with the athletes best interest in mind. That's a cheap skate thing to do. Well make sure you've got that person's contact info just in case any athletes can't compete to the best of their ability bc of sleeping conditions. This way coaches, parents, organizers, etc., can call/contact that person directly. No email. No social media handles. Just direct phone numbers to verbally speak with that person/group.
