JON RAHM - 3 Golf Swing Tips From the Best Golfers in the World

3 GOLF SWING KEYS that make Jon Rahm the World's #1 Ranked Golfer (and can make you hit the ball consistently pure, far, and straight). With his recent win at the Memorial Tournament, he showed complete control over his ball flight in difficult playing conditions. He can do that because he has 3 golf swing keys to help him hit powerfully accurate golf shots - this is something golfers need to know.

You don't need the longest backswing to hit it far - Jon Rahm only swings the club 3/4 length in the backswing and he still hits it 320+ yards off the tee.

You don't need to make a lot of manipulations in your swing to hit it accurate and far - Jon Rahm doesn't use his hands a whole lot in the swing, this helps keep the clubface from rotating a lot and prevents shots from flying a ton of different directions.

Here are the 3 GOLF SWING KEYS:
1. Connection and leveraging the power of the trail forearm
2. Shallowing the club on the downswing (how to start the downswing correctly)
3. Keeping the hands quiet through impact (controlling the clubface to hit your target every single time and greatly improve your accuracy)

You will learn each one of these in this episode - see you on the range!

I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.

My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.

My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

THE best lesson I have ever seen. I figured this out on my own (trail arm glued to side) a few months ago. Nice to see this validated by Tom! It made a tremendous difference in my ball striking and consistency. Best instructor ever. Thanks Tom!

Dropping into the slot is turning your lessons from unique and relatively easy to understand to the same old same old difficult way we’ve been watching for years, Tom you’re spoiling the thing that attracted me to you in the first place. Please keep it simple as possible. I’ve been enjoying it up to now from Dave in Perth Australia.

I started watching your videos 2 months ago and after 20 years of playing and lessons from bad instructors your videos have given me a new control and consistency with my shots. Now I'm working on the trust it factor to hit it with the wrath of God for distance. Great videos Tom keep'em coming.

This was a great reinforcement episode. I was struggling with starting the downswing, experiencing inconsistency, and crazy hooks. Presenting the Rahm option of dropping in to the slot, or your side bend with hip extension, was great.
Thank you for taking the time today...

Thank you Tom. Your videos are so helpful. Great level of detail. Have much better understanding of the golf swing than I ever have had. Love the John Rahm swing tutorial. Thanks so much.

HI Tom, Thanks so much for your lessons on the golf swing. You have a great and fun way of simplifying the technique. I have been playing with lower back and hip pain when playing golf for 15 years and since I have changed to your swing I have had no pain what so ever. It is truly life changing for me. While making a change is not easy after I have developed bad technique over the years I have instantly had better results with my ball striking. I have only been doing this for about 2 months so I look forward to continuing with the change. Thanks again buddy. Clint from Canada

Awesome video I've been trying to follow Jon's swing because I think I'm lots more consistent not taking the club back as far in the backswing thanks for this lesson 👍

Tom,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! This was a fantastic video, especially w/the analysis of Ram's swing. I believe 2 parts of this video truly stuck with me. The sticking of the (R) arm to the side and the follow through or quiet hands.

I played Sunday and one of my drives started out already hooking to the left (I am R. Handed) and a out 100 yes. out, took a left turn to Albuquerque. I believe I rushed the swing, threw my hips out early and then rotated the hands over (My analysis of course). I've discovered on drives that I at times get lazy and start using too much wrist action, which leads to poorer drives.
Again, thank you!

This is great Tom. No 2, your hands dropping is so underrated and we need to talk more about it😊. Headed to the Trackman range later today to work on all three tips. I’ve noticed you always have your feet pointing in each direction. Can you talk more about that please.

Gracias! I have been experimenting with the Rahm (DJ, Trevino etc...) wrist hinge recently (as seen in other Rahm videos), but you're the first to point out the hands/club beginning the down-swing by briefly dropping straight down. Maybe properly rejoining the shaft plain isn't rocket science after all? I do not have a hip bump though, I turn my hips -- as it seems that he does too, so I will give it a shot! Thanks again!
