You missed the part where they turn one of his boys into a wolf and make him slaughter his own brother and then they use its insides to bound Loki.

The venom fell into his eyes but didn't blind him as gods could heal. The ropes were made from Narfi. Narfi or Nari, was Loki's son who was torn apart and whose innards were used to bind Loki to the rock in the cave. His vengeance is to doubt vindictive as he deserved his punishment. Loki c himself as the alpha and the omega.

Lokis legendary Mischievous nature is what makes Norse Mythology great

i will always be saddened how there isn't more information on Sigyn, i find her so interesting how she willingly stood by her husband's side, the great trickster himself for probably years,

like the relationship must have been somewhat good that she wanted to keep him alive, and let's not forget she too just freshly lost her sons after the gods dragged their family into Lokis punishment by turning 1 son into a wolf that ate the 2nd son.

i personally find the strength of her will to keep going absolute incredible

What people often don't realize about why Loki did the things he did, is that he is a Jotunn, and the Jotnar were gods of chaos, so spreading discord was just part of his nature.

The venom dripping on Loki while Sigyn empties the cup causes him to writhe in pain which I think was attributed as the cause of earthquakes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

From what I read in High School in the Prose-edda(im Icelandic), when the poison hit Loki, he would tremble and make the ground move/break. This was in fact Norse mythology's explanation for earthquakes :D

Quite a shame that there is not more to tell about Sygin and the two boys she had with Loki. I assume this material has been lost to time, for there are many interesting figures in Norse mythology.

Because of Marvel people don't understand that Loki and Thor weren't brothers but Loki was Thor's uncle

According to Norse myth, Earthquakes where brought on by Loki squaming in agony whenever his wife went to empty the bowl

You know, given how smart Loki is supposed to be, you’d think that he would figure out a way to have to poison not fall on him, like a drain draining out somewhere else.

*I love how they did this in the Show Vikings with Floki and Helga*
