Thank you! I was born in NYC in 1944 and left for other parts of the world in 1974. Thank you for bringing me back to many youthful memories and bringing me up-to-date about these places. Very best wishes to you, young lady.

My dog and I live on E. 88th St. and we’re so glad to be in walking distance of Randall’s Island. We take walks along the river, cross the footbridge, then my dog goes for a swim then runs around in the woods. I’m so glad he can experience nature even though he’s a city dog.

One Island that is somewhere between popular and known just to New Yorkers is Broad Channel. Which is part of queens and sits in Jamaica bay. It is home to about three thousand People.

Roosevelt Island is amazing. And Riker’s gives toilet paper to the visitors to wipe the tears of visitor’s sorrows. Says volumes of the energy there. Again, girl you rock your info, and this channel has got to take off.

Another awesome video. Its crazy how places change within as little as a decade and a half. Roosevelt Island is pretty popular now. I remember when I went to high school and I told people I went to middle school on Roosevelt Island, they had no clue where it was. That was almost 20 years ago. Grandpa from "The Munsters" lived there. It was a small community where you knew almost everyone and now its overcrowded and expensive.

I love how you even let people know how to get to the islands.

Lady you are giving up all of our secrets. Let people think that New York City is only Manhattan and that The Bronx is like Vyse Ave in 1976. North Brother and South Brother. Shhh.😊😊😊

Wow I've lived in Brooklyn my entire life and I've been missing on city island. Can't wait to go now after this quarantine 😍

The easiest way to get to Rikers Island is to do business with Giuliani.

What a great video! Lots of new info for a born New Yorker. I would put City Island as #1.

2 noteable facts about Randalls/Wards Island:

#1 - The FDNY has a training facility at the northeast part.
#2 - NYC has a cluster of homeless shelters at the southern part.

I came across this channel as a recommendation. Fantastic video with a sprinkling of salty NYC humor. Keep it up.
