Vietnamese here, I think this is unrealistic. The relationship between Vietnam and China, despite the tensions related to the East Sea dispute, both still maintain a cooperative relationship based on mutual interests. Vietnam attacks China. In my opinion, that is impossible because what will they gain by attacking China? Nothing but their economy being severely damaged. Although Vietnam is looking to diversify its partners by increasing economic cooperation with the United States and European countries to reduce its dependence on China, but China is still an important partner of Vietnam, Vietnam simply does not want to lose an important partner.
