Sooo...riding solo Urals in enduro configuration for years ages ago was just a dream of mine? 21 front 15 rear with the same leading front fork(best fork ever btw) over any kind of terrain and all over the city?

I’m curious, if it’s not supposed to be ridden without a sidecar, why there is a center stand there? For maintenance on a solo bike maybe? BTW, I would consider one of these if it wasn’t a sidecar. 😔

I still want to do it. I dont own one, yet, but would it damage anything to ridden long distance without the sidecar? Could be a cool challenge to do a cross country ride with a couple of urals sans sidecars

I think it would be ok by replacing the tyres to road tyres and front shocks with telescopic ones.

Ural is missing on some big sales by not engineering a bike with this same look but capable of riding without a sidecar

Does the factory make solo bikes without sidecar’s ???
I can see why you would change the square-cut auto type tires. No argument there.
But the front suspension, I’ve seen the same type of suspension on old BMWs in old bike magazines. So it must have some value. Also on some British bikes from the same era (60s). All without sidecars.
I could understand that without the extra weight of the side car it might be too hard. But you could change the rear shocks and maybe “adjust” the front suspension ???
How much would you sell a solo bike without the sidecar ? There beautiful machines,

especially the black engines. I don’t like a lot of chrome reflecting sunlight in my eyes.
And you’d think they would have floorboards, instead of footpegs. Like Harleys.
