The world’s biggest cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas, has set sail on its maiden voyage from Miami, Florida.

It measures 365 metres in length and weighs 251,000 gross tonnes.

But how does it compare to other vessels and large iconic buildings like Madison Square Garden or the Eiffel Tower?

Impressive. Though, I have to say, there was just this elegant mystique about a cruise liner like the Titanic that just cannot be associated with something like this. Perhaps it was the era or maybe the lore that gives it a feeling of authenticity, which in modern times is simply lost. Regardless, good luck to the new ship....Bon Voyage!
