We Are Leaving Alaska… Here’s Why

It's time for us to say goodbye to our little Alaskan homestead, our family, and set out on a new adventure. We sold almost everything we own and are going to be headed south in a motorhome for warmer weather, but we aren't quite sure where our final destination is yet. In this video, I'll go over our current plan and some of our hopes for the future home of Foxfire Forest.

This is not our last upload! We will be filming the journey and will upload more videos once we get somewhere with an internet connection that I can edit them on. For now though, we are going to just enjoy a break in the parks and wilderness of Canada as well as the Pacific Northwest-ish area.

Thank you to everyone who rooted for us up to this point, and continues to do so! We really appreciate you all!

We all leave Alaska eventually… But always find time to revisit when we can. There’s just something unforgettable about Alaska.

Excited for y’all’s new adventure ahead. Where your new home will be will probably depend on what you guys want to grow and raise. Four distinct seasons is definitely something that Alaskans yearn. Have fun and stay safe!

Having lived in Barrow and Nome. And travel nursing in Ketchikan and Wrangell I get it.
Alaska never leaves you as y’all know better than me.
I’m from KY so maybe consider KY and I’ve also lived in TN and eastern TN is beautiful.
Lived in AZ and SD and we now live in Ohio. Ohio has all 4 seasons too.

Good luck on your journey! I recommend Pennsylvania. 4 separate seasons (sometimes all in one day 😂) and plenty of rich farm land.

Great Video. I would recommend Connecticut however the weather is horrible and the cost of land is terrible. (A farm house with 20 acres of land is at least 500k) But yeah
