It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Steven Gerald Falsetto (61) from heart failure on January 1, 2025. His loss was unexpected, and his family is heartbroken. Born on April 30, 1963, in Ottawa, Ontario, to Ortenzio (John) and Celina (née Laverty), Steve was the eldest of three children and a role model to his siblings, Barbara and John.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Steve is survived by his beloved wife Darlene, with whom he created a loving home in Vancouver despite always hoping for a Stanley Cup win from the Senators.

Steve was a devoted and loving father. He will be missed by his three children, Laura, Zachary, Sara, and their mother Rebecca. Steve became a doting grandfather to Sara's two children Isabelle and Dominic who brought him great joy.

Steve had a passion for music and experienced many memorable concerts throughout his life. He was also an avid record collector. Steve loved to travel, often visiting Maui and Las Vegas with Darlene, and usually with family in tow.

He will be remembered for his quick sense of humor, contagious laugh, kind heart, and unconditional love for his family and friends. Steve was a beacon of comfort and the rock of his family. His sudden passing has left a deep void, and his family is struggling to understand why he was taken so soon.

A small gathering will be held at Darby's Pub in Vancouver, BC on January 14 at 2:00 pm, followed by a larger service at Holy Cross Church in Kemptville, ON on January 20 at 10:00 am with a gathering to follow at Catered Affairs (Heritage Hall) at Kemptville College, 820 Heritage Dr. Steve will be laid to rest at Capital Memorial Gardens in Ottawa ON, alongside his beloved grandparents.
