It’s crazy how when we were younger, we were so mad at Zayn for leaving and we were so selfish cause all we wanted was the 5 members instead of 4. But I feel like the more we get older, the more we’re starting to realize the toxicity, and why he left the group, and I honestly don’t blame him at all. I believe that comment that Liam made was one of the many reasons why Zayn left in the first place. He could never get his opinions in or his point across. So he made the best decision…to leave. Guys I know it’s kinda obvious, but I don’t see them ever getting back together as a group. It’s the little comments like Liam made that are driving them further apart and making the chances of them ever getting back together low.

Liam was not a bad person; he had mental health issues and at some points went around without the proper care he needed. When he was doing well (mentally & emotionally) he was a lovely guy, funny, laid-back and cheeky

I don't like the way Liam talked about Zayn's upbringing.. it sounded incredibly insensitive and borderline racist. I also don't understand the nickname he referred him as- "Wayne" malik? Is that another racial jab? As a Zayn girl from the start of 1D, I grew to become tired of all the racial bullshit that Zayn has had to go through for no reason. 5 members of a band and none of the other 4 boys went through an ounce of what Zayn did when it came to navigating cultural, religious or ethnic micro-aggressions in this predominately white society. It truly reflects what society we still live in.

I think nobody appreciates how honest and real Liam’s answer was - we all want to believe in the perfect manufactured image of the One Direction members being super chummy all the time and best friends, when in reality there were probably many things they didn’t see eye to eye on with each other. It takes real maturity to admit that they’ve always had their differences and that one doesn’t understand another, but for Liam to add that he would always have Zayn’s back I think showed his vulnerability and depth. Should he have admitted this on Impaulsive (I despise the Logan brothers) in the way he did? Maybe not; but it’s probably a much truer summary of the relationship between some of them than we’d like to believe. Liam always got flak for keeping it real and not as clean cut as the other members post breakup, but I always appreciated how he was forthcoming where the rest wouldn’t be. I miss him dearly and I hope he’s resting easy. We love you Payno

Inspite of what happened, as friends they got over it. Liam was full of regrets and he apologised publicly and then died. Zayn is full of regrets. We all make mistakes and we all learn and move on.

Liam’s song was a ONE HIT WONDER type of thing. maybe at first it blew up pretty quickly but it was forgotten about in a month and is now hated because it’s a really bad song. and i’ve never heard his name again after that until this situation… where he’s getting a shit ton of hate. while the other members have had multiple pretty popular hits and albums and have started to build very long term, steady careers. hopefully this situation humbles him a bit but he seems like the type to think everyone else is the problem and not him.
