This is a tribute to "The Queen Of Soul" Aretha Franklin singing at her zenith. "Ain't No Way", one of her best in my opinion was written by her sister Carolyn Franklin. Some people don't know what a pioneer Aretha was in music. It was she and Ray Charles who fused together Gospel and Rock music. Interestingly during this time it was actually frowned upon by her church for doing so. Without Aretha there would be no Whitney, Mariah, Celine etc. That is the beautiful soprano of the wonderful Cissy Houston in the background. Along with this great studio recording are some great pictures of Ms. Franklin. Enjoy! Thanks For Your Comments.

Cissy Houston's high notes in the background accentuate every aspect of this song. The energy is absolutely beautiful … her sister's words, her vocals and Cissy's Soprano. I love this, my favorite of all songs... I would have loved to have been in the studio at this time, with them, just wow!!

Such a shame how Carolyn Franklin is overlooked. Without her, there would be no Ain't No Way.

It is absolutely astonishing what our music has fallen to today. Back when songs were written to pour out the heart to a woman or man so strong that you could fell it in your soul. Hence, soul music. There was one major requirement. You had to be able to blow. A song like this permeates your entire being. You outright feel the passion in her voice and feel the heat as she conveys her need to her man. She is saying, if only you would let me try and can love you like no one else. But, you want give me a chance. Aretha was special. Also, listen to the songs and the words of those who sang back in the day. Once you heard their voices you immediately knew who was sanging (I did not misspell that), because those artist's had very distinctive voices. Examples? Sure: Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Glady Knight, Patti LaBelle, Dion Warwick, Isaac Hayes, Frankie Beverly, Teddy. I could go on and on. Denise Williams, For those of us who were born during the hey day of real music we were and are truly blessed. I thank the Father up above for this gift. Thank you Father!

No matter how much older I may get I’m just thankful that I was raised in a family especially my parents who taught me that music could transgress the generations! Real Music

It crazy to think she was only 26 when this song was released....her voice! It AINT NO WAY a 26 year old today could invoke the same energy Aretha was giving!!!

One of my favourite song. The best part of the song is Listening to Cissy Houston doing the High Notes.

MANY have tried, (many more are STILL trying), BUT they'll never, never, NEVER do it like Aretha. Many even come CLOSE, but try as they might, the incomparable voice of Aretha can never be topped on this song. Shirley Brown comes closest in my mind, but I have to STILL give Aretha top billing. Others IMITATE, but never really DUPLICATE. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN.

My all time favorite Aretha song. Cissy really accentuated the high notes and made this the monster hit it is. Thank God for the genius and gift of Aretha
