Kavakos is so quick yet so accurate in hitting notes. This much is evident in his playing of paganini's caprices

This performance is worth the time. There is a strange mix of casualness and beautiful musicality on the part of the violinist. An excellent partnership. As compared with other examples… if you do not hear clearly the fast notes in the opening bar, all is lost immediately in this beautiful music from Ludwig van Beethoven.

Wunderbare flexible Tempi in jedem Satz! Herzlichen Dank!

Impressive! I don't think I've ever heard this done better, engaging from start to finish. Leonidas Kavakos, Enrico Pace ... and Beethoven ☃

Thanks for good camera work- it's really useful to actually see what Leonidas is doing, so I can borrow his ideas for bowings and fingerings etc

Exemplary rendition...out of this world...firmly positions itself next to iconic recordings like those of Perlman/Ashkenazy and Kagan/Richter...am blown away by the precision and unity of the performance...and the Adagio is like a necromantic spell that magically conjures a soul to life out of thin air...

Bravi!

Sorry, but I find this rendition poor, it could be much better but the microphones between the piano and the violin are not well balanced at all. The violin is only rendering notes, mechanically, with little interpretation. At times one could say that the bow is not an axe and the violin firewood, but maybe it should be?
