Blue Loctite ALL bolts and also make sure you lube the axles and swingarm pivot bolt thoroughly. They're great bikes but you have to go through them completely. Change the oil several times as it wears in properly. Keep an eye on the chain tension regularly. The cheapo china chains tend to wear and "stretch". I'd recommend replacing the chain with an RK chain.

I think it's more fun riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

old school mechanic here two big tips I can give you for these kinds of bikes, firstly, make sure you change out the Jets in the carburetor they're typically tuned really really lean from the factory, and secondly, make sure you change your oil after a couple dozen hours of running for the break-in procedure. also check your valves around that same time to make sure there's nothing loosey-goosey in there.

I had one, they’re great bikes but if you plan on doing wheelies, watch out for the rear wheel hub it started cracking so the wheel hub flopped around then the chain popped off because of it and locked up the motor, Besides that it ran super good and the motor was strong

I had the DBX19 which is this size but with a headlight. It was fun and a great bike to learn on. Being brand new I was intimidated to go to a dealership and spend a lot of money on a Japanese name brand. The Apollo was a lot faster than I anticipated. It can go 50 mph and the front wheel will jump up if not careful dumping the clutch. I sold it and got a bigger one now. It’s on the small side for an adult male. Probably perfect size for a teen or a lot of female riders

Very very important that carb gets plenty of air. Changed to a high volume air filter and what a difference. Make sure air fuel adjustment is dialed in (copper colored on spark plug electrode). You can feel the difference! Also I removed spark arrestor.

Sounds really good...Like perfectly tuned!
I'm impressed with the wheel clearance too!

I got the 150cc version with the 4.9l plastic fuel tank, and the 14" rear wheel and 17 front i think. replaced the carb with a 26mm mukuni. Upgrade the chain, lube the axle bolts... the bike needs going over freqently for head bearing services and wheel bearing replacements. Brakes are easy and fine...parts are abundant and cheap. Change the oil freqently!

For the price they aren't to bad but they are made cheap so keep an eye on everything. I bought one for my boy a few years back and we put a bigger front sprocket on it and increased the top end quite a bit as there weren't many hills where he rode. Needless to say it got stolen.

I want one, even though I had no previous intentions of having a 2-wheeler

They make descent bikes, but you should pay attention to assembly. From the factory some wheel spokes may be not tight, as well as the bolts and other things. Pro version is much more durable, has alloy wheels, suspension that can be adjusted and handle big jumps. I was lucky enough to get a good test drive before making a choice. 250 hours of abuse and nothing broke besides the oil radiator, and piston rings were replaced as well. Plastic is super soft and does not brake. Rear suspension need a cover because the mud and sand will destroy it quite fast

Check out the SSR 150 for a step up from this. It's got a 5 speed, and a nice sound. It's hard to view a 125 as adult bike but i guess this is the same size as a TTR.

We've had one for couple years now. Actually two, a 90 and 125. I'm blowed away by them overall for the money. Like others said. New carb and little loctite and it's quite the value. Basically Honda 1990s clone I think. They Feel Very similar

Man for 1300 bucks i should just buy one of these every couple months for thrashing bike for me n my buddies. I ride a crf 450r but some of these for shenanigans would be so fun and cheap

I highly suggest aftermarket carb I had one and bogged a good while till I got a new carb that new carb and intake helped a whole lot never had bogging issues and make sure your keeping the bolts tightened up they find to come loose often

Hey just saw this!! We have a mower shop and have been selling these for years. We sell them assembled and tested for what you pay shipped in a crate. We have had really good luck out of them over the years. Nibbi carb makes an amazing upgrade for them.
The rfz40 is a 140cc and is a huge upgrade also the z20 is a 125cc and has a much better shock and ride for $100 more.
They make a rzf race bike as well in a 150 and 200 free ride.

Ty so much for making this video I’ll be showing it to our customers :).

amazing to see decent upside down forks, suspension, disc brakes and a great looking and sounding exhaust on a cheapo bike..
If this were out in the time of the XR75, it would have blown people away LOL. .. the only drawback here is the forward angled cylinder... reminds one of the old honda moped motors, though this one seems alot stronger.
