I've never played a sim, only forza/gran turismo/similar. Is the physics simulation in these any more accurate than those games? Always wondered

Coming frustrated from Forza Motorsport multiplayer and everyone telling me "just play real sims, its way better" to watch these clips every week just coming to the conclusion to just quit simracing in total. Its just not worth.
