I don’t know, but I think that the 1st crash was partially on the Mustang, he could have seen there was a car in the mirror, however the 296 may have just been in the blind spot.

I encounter AI on the Nordschleife pacing slowly on the far side of the track under green at races.
Might be qualifying behaviour to let other cars through on their hot laps. But why is it happening at a race then?
Any idea what's going on and how to fix that?
