I've always wondered what would happen if I perform without any sort of near deadline. That's when this idea came to mind. Not spending my average 3-4 hours on photoshopping an image, but 24 hours instead! What would that even look like? Watch this video and find out!

If you want to create designs like this and don't know where to start, I would suggest the ebook/tutorial Design Evolution: Unlocking Adobe Photoshop's Secrets. It was a game changer for me.

I remember a time when he said he doesn't think he's even close to being considered the king of Photoshop, but I think that something no one can deny is that he's getting closer and closer to that

This is awesome. I think that if you did a 100 hour edit, it would have to have to be massive with a lot of different stories in the same image. Like looking into a fantasy world, where in one area, a knight is fighting a dragon, and in another, a princess is relaxing in a courtyard... Etc.

Definitely do more of those 24 hour challenges! I love how detailed and "custom" this artwork turned out

Alright Benny, I have an idea. So as a design student I don't do a lot of concept art photoshop (although I absolutely love watching your videos) but there is a huge part of my process that I don't often see reflected in yours. In my design process, about 20% is research and ideation (similar to what you showcased in this video) but then we take it a couple steps further and keep pushing it to the next limit. We critique, revise, critique, and revise until the finished product is idiotproof (hopefully). Now, while this doesn't directly translate to a solo guy doing concept art, you still always have a reflection period at the end of your videos with insight into what you would've done better and why. In my opinion that is one of the main reasons you are such a talented artist and why you make such good youtube "content" - you're always critically assessing your work and pushing yourself to level up.

I think the 100 hour video is a phenomenal idea, but I would aim to spend 100 hours on the final artwork in many different ways, not just on the photoshop part alone. I'd suggest you apply it to several artworks. Seeing how much time you spent (or forced yourself to spend) I would limit your artworks to 20 hours each. If I were you I would spend that 7-8 hours collecting assets, then also 2-6 hours planning a effective composition and fabricating a story to tell. You briefly touched on both of those in this video and I think they both could've benefitted from a more focused intent. Your final composition is great but it's also a fairly balanced, centered piece. And there are definitely pieces to a story here, but most of it is just guesswork and things that "look cool" as you mentioned. Now I wouldn't go writing a whole backstory, as you've done for other videos, but you really stand to gain a lot if you are more intentional with your direction. You even mentioned how you next artwork should be on a topic that has more details to add, and I think creating a storyline or giving yourself a more substantial prompt could be that spark of creativity.

For example, here we see some cyborgs and a main human standing in a cool landscape with some stuff around them and more guys in the background. But what are they doing there? What if they're transporting a prisoner? Are they hunting someone that you can show hiding on the side of the composition? Are they from earth? A good chunk of that 100 hours could be spent deciding what other visual storytelling you can do. Plus, you're a youtuber so I think it's fair to assume when you make videos you do a lot of this already with the editing and all that. The 100 hour video could be a window into your whole process as a creative individual, not just as a photoshop guy.

You do such an amazing job of reflecting on each piece and if you go with the 5 artworks 20 hours each idea I think it would be awesome to see an evolution from each piece to the next. You can talk about what you learned, why you made certain choices, and what eventually led you to the finished artwork. Anyway, sorry for the essay. Love the content bro keep it up

If you wanted to keep pushing yourself in this way, you could make this a monthly or quarterly segment: where you spend 24 hours making a new image. Maybe even let the fans pick the topic or suggest details, something like that. Increase engagement and allow you to keep challenging yourself.

For benny, the challenge isn't the artwork or the amount of time. it's his creativity of not doing too much creative stuff so he could do it in time.

I’ve been watching your videos for 2 years right now, and for some reason this one made me much more excited than the others, and I would really really love if you make the 100 hours edit video, I know it is hard to do, but bro, it would be insane! 🔥

What a great photomontage Benny, I love the transformation of the elements, water to lava, and the soldiers are great, it reminded me of the movie Starship troopers

You should make a abandoned circus/theme park. Add some scary things too. That would be way more work to make.
