This is a great tool, and could take the place of my compact Makita blower, as well as compressed air in the workshop or on site. I agree it's a must have, and I did consider going for the 40v version it was so well reviewed. But this performs the same while not requiring the 40v platform. It's worth mentioning how quiet it is, relative to the compact brushed makita blower which I use all the time. I tend to use earmuffs on the compact blower, but not this dust blower which is just below the threshold where I'd feel the need, especially for quick jobs. Your tools will last longer if you blower the dust out of them regularly, and I for one do not have the space for a compressor in the workshop, or want the noise of it. This is also so compact it can hang on the wall or fit in the tool bag easily, and it's light but well balanced with a 5ah battery.. Worth the money, hopefully a kit with batteries soon (like the XGT) so people can add more batters etc while adding this tool. The quietness speaks to how well engineered it is, considering the power - like a high quality vacuum. Hopefully it stays quiet.

The lxt was quieter than the xgt when holding them side by side
