Just grabbed one, the suction is pretty good, I like the blower function. Definitely worth a place in the van.

Got one myself and it's as you'd expect from an 18V vacuum.
Seems on par with what it's intended to copy, the Milwaukee M18 2-Gallon. Makita's is more compact and I don't think the Milwaukee comes with a shoulder strap. The filter isn't made to get wet in the Milwaukee, so you can't wash out the filter but with the Makita of course you can. No paper, so +1 there. Happy to have got one, rather handy.
Also I tested the power draw, uploaded on my channel.

Can you do wet vacumming with the hepa filter as the instructions suggest.

The hepa filter has a float device to prevent water from getting into the motor.

But on my first attempt doing a wet vac with the hepa filter, it worked for a short while and then stopped working.

I could only get suction with the hepa filter off.

Makita needs to be clear in their instructions on whether the hepa should be used or not when wet vacuuming

They don’t mention anywhere that it comes with two adaptors so can pretty much fit any other equipment in your shop. I spent 45 minutes at the shop trying to order an adaptor to go in the cordless makita orbital sander only to find they had the parts in the box when I got home! 🙄

Am I missing something? The water float is attached to the main part of the filter. So I cannot vacuum water, empty it and then go to vacuuming dust or debris because once the filter is wet, it no longer breathes until it’s dry.

… main issue with (especially hoovers ) and nearly all tools is simply lack of care, constant maintenance, and a bit of love, for mate that helps… as first Always clean ur tools after use, it takes short minute…joy is every time u take it it feels like new, and it extends life time. This makitta I guess is what I’m looking for the money. I’ll just wrap the filter with extra fabric filter and should last until it’ll burn 😊. Oh yeah time from time deep dusting off helps avoid overheating for electric engines…have seen many builders wondering why tool stoped working… very funny when they try to examine that peace of 💩 looking tool.😊

Is there any attachments for the vacuum that will plug into the makita 9910sp belt sander and a makita brushless planer?

Nice vaccum, but is it possible to get an extension hose, so you may do vacuuming standing up, and not on your knees?

Wondering if there is a reusable bag for this vacuum. Would be handy to have one. As we find a loss in suction. Due to fine dust

I'm on the fence with this vac, I might wait for the 40V version to be released...🤔

Can you use this for fiber cement as well?

Looks like a good bit of kit. I am not a tradie, more the home handyman. Can the unit run straight off the mains power and be stationary and partly serve as a direct general air filter for a work room. May be turned on for a period of time at the end of every day ad well ?

How does this unit handle drywall dust? Would it blow it back in the air? Wondering if it would work well with the Makita drywall cutter.

Would small plaster debre or aluminium shavings can be sucked up?

Looks great, but is it good enough for track saw, routers, sanders? I have a shopvac but this could be used when taking the work inside houses. Give me your 2 cents.

Is there an adapter that can connect it with Dewalt's airlock system?

Have had mine for a while. Switched from dry to wet and when the filter got wet it locked up and will not allow air to pass. Ordered a new filter hope that works. Anybody else with that problem
